Wow, you’re clearly an ignorant idiot. Are you bitter that English is not an official language in your native country or something? You’re obviously an intolerant and bitter Hispanic. I’m proud that Spanish is the only official language where I was born, we have an identity!! I never said an accent means that you can’t speak a language, I do “appreciate” (in your own words) other cultures,
my husband is half Filipino and his mother can’t teach my daughter Tagalog- what’s up with that?! Appreciate your roots people, don’t be embarrased by them, I really like Filipinos, don’t get me wrong.

well I never heard of her, but I think it’s because Hawaii is one of the states in the U.S. and it’s still part of America. She was probably one of the candidates, cuz’ every state has a representative to become Miss America and if ur an American citizen then I guess u can be miss america? haha I’m not sure, lol Just a guess

We have our own language! It’s just that we are using English because it is already been used since then (that’s why it becomes our second language) and even the earliest time of beauty pageant here, they already been using english. So that when we go internationally, we don’t need to have our interpreter just to be understood!;-)
